INTRODUCTION:
A. God has a purpose for our lives.
1. God had a purpose for Joseph (Genesis 45:5-8).
2. Can we think and act like Joseph?
B. Do we see God's purpose in our
lives?
1. We often question God's purposes.
2. God has a purpose for us today.
1. JOSEPH KNEW GOD HAD A PURPOSE FOR HIM.
A. The early life of Joseph.
1. Joseph was the favorite child of Jacob and Rachel.
2. Joseph was a dreamer.
3. Later, Joseph was sold into slavery in Egypt.
B. Joseph's life in Egypt.
1. Joseph was spitefully used by Potifor's wife.
2. Next, Joseph was cast into prison.
3. Joseph was willing to forgive those who harmed him.
2. GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR US.
A. In (Matthew 6:33) we are to seek
first the kingdom of God.
1. Our first purpose is to seek the kingdom of God first.
2. God has a purpose for us in His kingdom.
B. We are to take the gospel to all
the world.
1. We are to take the gospel into all the world (Matthew 28:18-20).
2. We make know the manifold wisdom of God (Ephesians 3:10-11).
CONCLUSION:
A. We have a purpose---taking the
gospel to all the world.
1. God is still in control--we serve in His kingdom.
2. How do we accomplish God's will in our lives?
B. How will you accomplish God's will
in our lives?
1. Are you living up to the purpose that God has given to you?
2. If we are not living up to God's purposes let us repent.
