"Nyamue Church of Christ" is among the 18 congregations of Church of Christ in Kisii - Kenya. Churches of Christ in Kisii have a total membership of a little over 1000. The congregations have a very "strong" fellowship - - Church leaders from each congregation come together quarterly for a week long "Leaders' Workshop"; Ladies from each congregation also meet together twice in a year for a 3 day "Ladies' Retreat"; Youths from each congregation also meet together twice in a year for a 3 day "Youth Seminar". Churches of Christ in Kisii are actively involved in World Bible School follow-up. David Marube with the help of some other leaders hold yearly WBS seminars and follows up on WBS students, who need a personal contact, at their homes, and set up study appointments at their convenient time and place. So far, 7 churches have resulted as a direct result of this program. If you or your church have WBS students in Kisii - Kenya, you may contact David Marube by e-mail marube2k@yahoo.com, who will assist you accordingly. We also have a community service program - - educating people in the community on matters related to the prevention and control of diseases (including HIV/AIDS); how to fight famine & poverty; campaign against "female circumcision" (which is highly practiced in the area); among others.
