COMMENTARY & CRITICISM

These pages are to present various articles written, or posted by brethren on the internet. We will generally exhibit articles of  "truth" and depth, but on occasion we will show those that include error. We do think that it is our obligation to inform those who present error that we are "exposing" them. We will conclude with a  commentary where we feel it requires a response. We hope that this page is one you will frequent often, as the nature of it's existence is determined by the rapid change of pages at other sites. This should allow for a continued "freshness" of content.

The first article that we are presenting takes a look at the  "Silence of the Scriptures" (an important issue for the church), by Wayne Jackson, one of the ministers at the East Main Street Church of Christ in Stockton, California (home of the Christian Courier). We also want to highlight another of Jackson's articles that discusses   "Sexual Orientation", another hot-button for our times. The second featured article is a rewarding look at "The Bible's Inspiration". This article was written by Bert Thompson, Ph.D. It is both challenging and stimulating, please enjoy this treasured piece.

We would also like to recommend that you take the time to read the San Mateo Bulletin Article, along with our Editorial page. For more information on the history of the Bible, how to study the Bible, or an outline of the Bible, we think our Invitation page will suit your needs. The Church News page will give you an overview of our recent lecture series, and next years theme and speakers. We also offer a page, "Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth",  that takes a look at the various doctrinal issues faced by the church. We invite you to view these each time you visit our site, as they will change frequently. If you want to do some detailed word, phrase or verse studies, or would like to view the Matthew Henry Commentary we would point you to our Online Study Center where all of those features are available to you. Feel free to browse around our site using our "Core" page, which will enable you to view a full selection menu of our pages. We hope that we have provided a spiritually uplifting experience.
